Rosen Shingle Creek Executive Committee
Michael Salomone - Director of Food and Beverage
If there is one thing that Michael Salomone enjoys is seeing people having a great time in the many Restaurant and Lounges at Rosen Shingle Creek. His initial intent was to use his Culinary Institute of America education to pursue a long time passion for cooking but found one thing missing, interaction with guests. His knives are now part of his kitchen at the house.
Raised in South Florida, Michael graduated from the University of South Florida, then on to the Hyde Park New York campus of CIA. He served his externship at the New Orleans Hilton and shortly after graduation secured a position as Chef Garde manger at the Kauai Hilton and Beach Villas on the Island of Kauai in the Hawaiian Islands. He left Hilton to become part of the opening team of the Grand Hyatt Regency Kauai where he took that jump to “front of the house”. After 15 years in the Islands Michael moved back to the mainland and joined the food and beverage teams at the Hyatt Regency lake Las Vegas, the Hyatt Regency Washington DC on Capitol Hill, Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando and joined the Rosen team during the pre opening of Shingle Creek as Director of Food and Beverage.
