Rosen College of Hospitality
Uniquely located central to the nation’s most visited tourist destination with 68 million visitors annually, the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida (UCF) ideally sits at the foot of Rosen Shingle Creek. Harris Rosen donated $26 million dollars to UCF to fund the purchase of the land, construct the building and providing on-going scholarships to students in-need. The school opened in 2004 with 400 students and is now one of the fastest growing colleges with close to 3,500 enrolled. The Rosen College was recently ranked No. 2 in the world as a hospitality and hotel management school, according to CEOWORLD Magazine. A significant achievement in that the Rosen College is the youngest institution among the magazine’s 26 top-rated schools.
With access to world-famous theme parks, attractions, restaurants and hotels, Rosen College students have entree to some of the most coveted internships and hands-on learning opportunities in the hospitality industry. In fact, students enjoy a stellar job placement rate with 97 percent securing employment upon graduation. The Rosen College offers six academic degrees, including the only bachelor’s degree in event management in the United States and the only doctoral program specifically in hospitality management in Florida.
