The Citrus Bowl is the seventh-oldest collegiate bowl game in the United States. Watching the annual Central Florida match-up is a New Year’s tradition for many college football fans.
Here’s what you can expect at the 2023 VRBO Citrus Bowl at Camping World Stadium.
Big Ten vs. SEC
The Citrus Bowl has hosted a Big Ten and a Southeastern Conference (SEC) team each year since 1993. In 2022, the Northwestern Wildcats secured a victory against the Auburn Tigers with a score of 35-19. As the college football season heats up, so do the bowl projections.
Currently projected 2023 Citrus Bowl opponents include:
- Minnesota v. Ole Miss (ESPN)
- Purdue Ole Miss (CBS Sports)
- Illinois v. Ole Miss (Sporting News)
- Maryland v. Ole Miss (Sports Illustrated)
- Penn State Mississippi State (Action Network)
